Chrysler Sebring Convertible - Wheel Hub Install.

Chrysler Sebring Convertible - Wheel Hub Install. A bad wheel bearing will make noise at most speeds. The real indicator that a wheel noise is a bearing or hub assembly is when you turn the steering wheel in one direction the noise disappears or is greatly reduced and when you turn the steering wheel in the other direction the noise is increased. To remove the wheel bearing hub on the Chrysler Sebring convertible you are going to need a E14 inverted torx socket, so if you don't have one, get one before you start. You will also need to separate the lower ball joint to pull the spindle away from the axle to get at the bolts that hold on the wheel bearing hub. The torque I used to install the wheel bearing hub (3 bolts) was 65 ft-lbs. The main driveshaft nut was torqued to about 170 ft-lbs. Do NOT use and impact to install this nut. I used an impact to REMOVE it. The lower joint castle nut was torqued to 55 ft-lbs.
